Post-induction support for current DP

There were some posters on here who said they wouldn't support DP in future, particularly when the Blackmore camp said Payne had blocked Ritchie from attending.

Do you still feel the same? Would you support DP in future by buying albums and gig tickets?

Just interested now the dust has settled a bit.

Look, live I have forfeited going to most gigs in my area over the last 5 years or so, and will continue not to go, unless something new happens to change my mind. It's not just a question of what happened recently, it's just become too plodding for my taste - I am not a fan of playing songs too fast, but the other way I watched YT footage of the induction gigs, specifically HS...right after that, I made the mistake to look back-to-back the MKII version from Australia 84...man, the new one seemed in slo-mo.
As far as the album, I think I am not going to buy it when it comes out at full price. If a year or two down the line I find it as a promotion at 10 Euros, I may take it. Zero urgency whatsoever.

I stopped attending DP shows after the 2011 orchestra tour which I only went to because there was an orchestra that time and I thought it might inspire them a bit(which to be fair it did a little).Quite simply i was fed up seeing them go through the motions, it just felt like i had been attending the same gig for the last decade. There is no excitement left at a DP gig for me now, its quite simply boring. So obviously the HOF fiasco will have no affect on my gig attendance, i will still get the album though, simply because i have every other album. What the HOF fiasco has done for me though is remove any last remnants of respect i had for Ian Gillan as a man emoticon Ian Paice has also dropped in my estimations emoticon ,I do feel Roger came across as sincere though.Kinda saddened by it all really and DP 68-75 still remain to this day my favourite rock band.

The issue is, that most of us who attended the gigs wrote here many times, that show from 2011 and show in 2013/14 are completely different situation? Recording Now What?! was key moment for live shows. I´m not saying that Orchestra gig I saw in July 2011 wasnt fine, I´m just saying that recent performances from 13-15 blows that show away... But you didnt see those shows, so you have no idea.

Agreed. Except the words about Paice. And I would change the name Ian Gillan with Ritchie Blackmore.

Where di Big J ask about respect for certain members? It was you, who didn't respect Big J's question and started the same old bullshit. So don't distort the facts again.

I was excited from "PS" to "Now What?!".

If somebody (family or friends) gave me the new DP album, then great, if not, I'm not in hurry to have it. I wish them good luck though.

Nope I answered his question honestly giving the reasons why .You and ptr on the other hand didn't answer Big Js question at all but simply argued against my answer with YOUR usual bullshit.
So would you like to answe the OP or not ? If not then we can co to us our arguments on other threads
