Official 1991 Tour Release

It seems ridiculous that this is the one DP era for which there hasn’t been an official live release, I’m not going to count the Satriani period as there wasn’t any recorded product.

What gig would you like to see released if this changes?

I’m unsure what may have been officially recorded, Rotterdam is probably the best of the gigs I’ve heard but guess the first Czech gig is the obvious choice.

There's a Polish gig that's pretty phenomenal. There's fan-shot footage on YouTube that's pretty rough, but hopefully there's better audio out there.

Roger Glover mentioned on his website (Q&A section) that there were in fact shows (show) recorded with Satriani, and the band even wanted to release a single with a live version of WABMC in 1993 but Satriani's management didn't allow it to happen.

He also mentioned that they never recorded professionally any JLT-era concerts. Sadly, I might add.

The show in Edinburgh was recorded for BBC In Concert programme, but never got aired. I don't know how good (or bad) it was, but Ritchie did not want to play encore. When asked after the show, he was quoted as saying "We played all that we had rehearsed".
So at least there's at least one 1991 show taped in FM-quality.

I’ve got a good audience recording of that show, it’s all going well until they started doing White shade, Yesterday etc, the crowd really turned on them, well mainly JLT, who if memory serves tells them to ‘eff off’! Lazy I think, and also Highway Star were missed out so, RB going straight into Smoke after KAYBD.

There's some more. The tour opener in Ostrava, one show in Philadelphia and one in Tel Aviv have been taped in - more or less good - FM quality.

Yes, forgot about those. In retrospect it was a pretty good tour, been listening to the Copenhagen gig a lot recently. Amazing show, RB really inspired as in so many of the 91 gigs

The Ostrava gig was taped by local TV, so it's not 100% FM quality (1991 wasn't a HD era emoticon ). I don't know (and never heard) PHilly & Tel Aviv leaves a bit to be desired, so as far as I know, only Edinburgh could possibly be released one sunny day...

Philly is pretty good but Radio City Music Hall show a little better...Ritchie goes a little more "out there". Unfortunately the sound quality on my RCMH video isn't near the quality that Philly is.
