It´s a bit disappointing, the setlist is the same as previous year:

Highway Star
Into The Fire
Hard Loving Man
Strange Kind Of Woman
Vincent Price
Contact Lost
Uncommon Man
Well Dressed Guitar
The Mule
Lazy
Hell To Pay
- Don Airey Solo
Perfect Strangers
Space Truckin
Smoke On The Water
--
Hush
Black Night

It may be disappointing to fans who follow closely what they do, but for territories that haven't seen them recently (i.e. Mexico) it will be [sign in to see URL] question becomes will they mix it up for places they have in the last 12 months US, Europe....

Agreed, it will be disappointing to me if nothing changes in that setlist when they return to Europe in the autumn, but as Mexico hasn't seen it yet...

They played couple of dates (but in different cities) in Mexico last year.

Clips from last gig of this short tour:

Perfect Strangers:

Everything seems to be okay, IG sounds fine.

Compared to the last tour in the same place which was in 2011, that's 6 tracks out, and 5 in, including 3 new one, and one never played there (The Mule). Not a completely changed setlist, but not that bad either compared to other bands of that generation ! The big issue to me is the end of the shows which hasn't changed in years...

Of course it is.

Their setlist is about as imaginative as Hollywood doing another remake, which is not at all.

Saw some clips, Gillan sounds like s**t (nothing new there, he should retire long ago), Paicey sounds asleep (or just old), Morse is doing the same thing he has been for 20 years which is playing the same runs (that one he has) /licks (those two he has)/phrases (wait, WHAT phrases??) that sound just as bland and boring as they did 5, 10 or 20 years ago and Airey's playing is about as exciting as a snail crossing the road.

This isn't DP anymore! Well, it is, it's just not Deep Purple. It's Diet Pink!

This nostalgia tribute act has run it's course fellas, hang it up and walk away with some decency intact, this is embarrassing to the legacy of the true Deep Purple. emoticon
