Did Mark 4 really perform "Marching Powder" on stage?

This is claimed here: http://www.thehighwaystar.com/rosas/discog/dpsetlists1.html

"Wild Dogs", "Marching Power" [Powder] and "Homeward Strut" - would soon be incorporated into Deep Purple's stage repertoire...

If that's true does anybody know of a boot?

As far as I know, "Marching Powder" was never performed live (pity!), it might have been a mistake taken from Charlesworth's book, which mentions this one and also "You Fool No One" being played live by MkIV.

Charlesworth's book also states Mk3 playes Holy Man live. It's a pity they did not.

Oh yeah... "Holy Man" live, that could be a real treat emoticon
While on Mk IV, "Come Taste..." was the only Purple album, from which ALL songs were performed live during the respective tour. "Comin' Home" and "Dealer" were played only a few times, but still.

Yeah, they really did make a point of featuring the new album.

I asked GH and IP. They told me that DP never played "Comin home" on stage. I've been told a man from Sheffield had some fun spreading this rumour :-)

In any case this is a well supported rumour as on the tapes that were left off of the "Foxbat" material (show in Springfield) there was a snippet of Comin' Home, but due to the fact it was only a small fragment it was not published (see the booklet for the 1995 edition).

It's a shame that Mr Robinson always refused to publish this fragment just because it isn't the whole song. If IP and GH even can't remember that they played it, it should be released just for documentation reasons.

In case it really exists.

I am not sure whether this could have been entirely his decision to publish something or not. Maybe he had to get some kind of approval from the band or DP (Overseas) for official issuing this or another piece of material. Knowing Simon, I'm pretty convinced that if it was up to him, he'd have released everything that's possible, "Comin' Home" live including.

In case it really exists emoticon

Judging from his liner notes (not only in this case), he seems to have quite a lot to say about what gets included in a release and what doesn't. Whether he is the only one to decide I don't know.
