help......info wanted!!!
Hi all,
can anyone in the forum please help me with this question?
last year I bought a "blondie, atomic the best of" CD,this item was bought from a second hand record dealer who told me that it actually played "some rock group" so i had to buy it just to see who it was :o)when I played the CD it was actually the "deep purple in rock album (this is the extended version with the studio intros/talk)..obviously some sort of mispress,i have tried looking up re-release dates for the D/P in rock CD but i have only found a 1996 date, while the print on the Blondie CD states made in 1998 in the EU.
Everything about the CD looks Blondie, the booklet,CAT No,the printing (inkwork) on the CD all says Blondie..when you turn the CD over and look at the shiney side,it says in the middle of the CD...UDEN 8340192 @ 12 (if this is any help!)
I was just wondering if this was a common mis-press and/or has anyone else heard of this? Is it a rareity or just a complete waste of time :o) LOL.
look forward to your replies..thanks thorn

You silly ugly troll. Thorn is not me for christs sake. I am not everyone that comes on here. I will not be using another name other than Leatherleaf and Blobby for when I need to bring you down.
Thorn has asked a valid question...so either answer him or let somebody else give him his answer.
Sorry Thorn...She's from Switzerland.

That's the number of the "In Rock Anniversary". Seems that your disc went the wrong way in the factory ;-)

Hi,
sorry i ment to write that it was the anniversary release,i sorta worked out which release it was (with the help of the wife she's a DEEP PURPLE fan :o),i just really wanted to know if any more of these have surfaced amongst the fans/collectors..I don't think it would be worth much,it's just more of an oddity/curio but would be nice to know.
thanks snakehead for pointing that out though and taking the time to reply.
cheers terry

Re: help......info wanted!!!
Seems like a lot of things went wrong with that 25th Anniversary release. I personally have the first release featuring "Living wreck" with a skipping intro (not MY cd, but the whole serie was released like that, the skipping is actually in the mastering itself) and an edited version of "Hard lovin Man" (no guitar noise at the end)...
Is that considered a collector item?
But no Blondie...
