Very hard to find CD titles?

Anyone have, or at least know anything about, the following Deep Purple CD titles that seem to be quite hard to find, as I've even been having trouble just finding sufficient info. about them, such as what label the 2nd one is on? -

1. Deep Purple 2CD “RAT BAT PURPLE” (Bio label)
2. Deep Purple 2CD “RAT BAT RIFF IN PHILADELPHIA” (label unknown)
3. Deep Purple 2CD “MACHINE HEAD” (quadraphonic – QuadraDisc label)

Are they really that hard to find? And why is the 2nd one titled the way it is? Apparently it's supposed to be from a show in Philly of the USA in 1991, but wasn't the song "Rat Bat Blue" performed live only on a few occasions in Europe or the UK in early 1996? And what label is it on? And what's the catalog no. of the 1st one (on the Bio label)? Any helpful replies will be greatly well-appreciated - thanks, as always.

They sometimes played the riff for some bars during Cut Runs Deep. Philly was one of the shows.

I recall Philly is a radio broadcast or in some other way, a soundboard tape leaked out and it has been released under several titles. Bootleggers tried to use appearance of rare tracks in the title, as in your case. The most famous example would be Mary Long. It was one of the very few bootlegs to have the song on it.

I have a bootleg from Brussels in '73 with Mary Long on it but it sounds like the recorder was in someone's back pocket from the worst seats in the venue! I only paid $5 U.S. for it so I don't feel too bad.

I have heard one 1973 version of ML. It's on YouTube. Sounded nice - actually, the ending was the best. I can't remember which show it was. I just remember the bootleg title on listings online. It was clear what the selling point was!

The songs was done on couple of 1973 tours but dropped for the final tour of Japan in June 1973.

Mary Long was done during the 1973 European tour. When they played the USA and Japan, they didn't do it any longer.

There are several recordings existing, one from Lyon March 16th in AM radio quality, and some from e.g. Berlin, Hamburg and Wien which are audience recordings with quite decent quality given the time, certainly much better than the horrible Brussels recording.

I have "Rat bat riff in Philadelphia".
It's from february 23, 1985. Great show, acceptable recording, Ritchie plays the riff after Under the gun, the others join in for a few bars, then Blackmore leads them into Lazy.
I have it since 1998, on "Rorschach productions cddp 1/2". It's a double cdr.

Thanks, but which particular show in Detroit? The one on Feb. 19th, or the one on March 11th?

And does anyone know of any other shows, besides the one in Philly on Feb. 23rd, during which they did the "Rat Bat Blue" riff?

Again, thanks, as always.

Hello? No one at all knows, or at least has any ideas whatsoever? Something/anything wrong here?
