Re: California Breed ... over?

Certainly seeing out the touring commitments makes a lot of sense. However, saying that there was no way they could move forward without all 3 original members and that he couldn't commit to a 2nd album is a little less credible. I think Jason leaving was clearly a big blow to Glenn but I think the bottom line was that the album wasn't as successfuly as Glenn hoped it would be and that's the main reason the band has ended.

I was definitly hoping for more collaboration between Andrew and Glenn. It worked well musically I thought.

Any idea if it didn't work personally between the two of them?

Without a second 'name' (Bonham) in the band it was doomed to fall to the ground, in my opinion.

I think that a second album of CB, with or without Jason would probably have done the same in terms of sells.

The interesting part here would have been the hear the evolution of the musical relationship between Glenn and Andrew.

Jason said he had too many commitments and that the amount of $ that CB were willing to take for the shows was lower than he was willing to accept.

It's called the “Music Business” for a reason. Glenn's dilemma is that he is this "legenday" artist and friends with anyone from Guns an' Roses to Aerosmith but still he is playing only clubs and probably his best income even today is Deep Purple royalties

It seems Glenn may not be able to keep long lasting bands/projects. It may be difficult for his bandmates to hear him talking in the tourbus the things he loves to repeat all the time (like he did in his autobio).

I think both, recklessabanonder and bernie, have hit the jakcpot with their comments. That's the way it is with Glenn.
