Re: Celebrating Jon Lord DVD
Finally coming out here in January! I got the cd (the double 'rock' cd) a couple weeks ago and I really like it. I've been holding off on the dvd's but didn't pull the trigger because of the cost...glad I waited!!

Re: Celebrating Jon Lord DVD
I bought it a month ago but only got to see it from start to finish tonight. A fitting farewell to a big man. Seeing and feeling so much love for him and his music somehow it made me proud as well of being a Purple family fan!

Re: Celebrating Jon Lord DVD
I agree fdr!! From Sarabande through to Hush it is a fitting tribute to the "Hot wired Lord of the Keyboards" as Circus magazine once put it!

Re: Celebrating Jon Lord DVD
It's too bad this release was neglected by so many in the main stream and music media here in the states. If it had been a tribute to Brittany Spears it would have made headlines. This is still one of my most listened to CD's.

Re:
I see the second half of the show is coming out on Vinyl. The purple set and the Glenn Hughes Bruce Dickinson etc sets. Does anyone know if they have tried to improve the sound?
At the gig burn was simply awesome but was shocking on the blu ray and CD release.
