SOME TEMPLE OF ROCK NEWS
Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock
Sometime between 6pm Friday 29th Aug and 11 am Sunday 31st August 2014 at “Kidroom Studios” in Greven, Germany, where MICHAEL SCHENKER is recording the new TEMPLE OF ROCK album "Spirit on a Mission", thieves broke in and stole and number of Michael Voss’s guitars and four of Micheal Schenker’ Dean Flying V guitars.
At the moment the full extent of what has been stolen is being accessed and the crime scene fingerprinted. However Schenker’s brand new Chrome V is one of the guitars that has been taken.
A source close to the band said,
“The Dean Chrome V is one of only 3 every made. Michael’s version is unique and made to his own specifications. There is not another like it, so it will be hard to sell”.
German police are examining evidence and the studio for fingerprints and DNA evidence to help catch the criminals.
There will be more details once the extent of the damage and a thorough inventory has been taken at the crime scene.
Further details of the burglary are emerging. It appears that the Hard Drives containing the tracks for the new album and another containing the back-ups have also been stolen.
“ To say that we are not best pleased does not even begin to cover it. I only got back on Friday having been over at the studio laying down the vocals on 9 of the 14 songs” commented vocalist Doogie White. “ Vossy called me early on Sunday morning to explain what had happened. The thieves apparently broke in through skylights and stole a bunch of guitars and also the computers containing the tracks for the new album. Then we found out that they had also taken the back-ups. So I am not really sure what the situation is at the moment. Well I kinda do really. We are a wee bit fucked and a big bit pissed off. But we are big boys and we will just regroup and go back in and start again and record a brilliant TOR album. Obviously after Michael gets some new guitars.”
A spokesman for the band said “ The police have been very professional and hopefully they will have some leads to apprehend the culprits and get some if not all of the stolen property back.”
