I think Bananas is pretty weak as far as lyrics go. Sure, there are plenty of little witty touches but that's the least to be expected from a master like Gillan.
It works.....somehow, but taking the album as a whole its not really up to the mark.

I stand by it.
I like the lyrics and I like the way Gillan sticks 'em.
The album doesnt have a long 'rack-life'....good for a month of continuous listening and thats about it....I'll hafta throw it back in soon.
