Re: Top Three Bond Films
I can't remember which was the first Dalton film anymore; if it was License to Kill or The Living Daylights? Living Daylights starts similar to the way you described though, with the hangover...LtK starts with Felix Leiter's wedding.

Re: Top Three Bond Films
The Living Daylights. It brought Bond back to a more down to Earth cold war thriller setting.

Re: Top Three Bond Films
At least with Bond we share the similar view. The living daylight is my favourite Bond of course it is much sentiment formula. I am huge Bond fan.

Oh really?... Living Daylights was my first Bond I've seen, and liked it very much until I saw it recently. Unfortunately, Dalton is NOT the man for this job. He looked stiff and lost much too often, so I had to change my views on this one.
Anyway, my favourite Bonds are (with no particular order):
- Octopussy
- Spy Who Loved Me
- From Russia With Love
(For Your Eyes Only was a strong contender, at least I had to mention it...)
Favourite theme:
- You Only Live Twice
- Skyfall (!!!)
- Goldfinger

Re: Top Three Bond Films
My love to the Living Daylight has a lot to do with emotions of youngster and being AHA fan at the time .
Other favourites would be by Bond actors:
Casino Royal, Skyfall
For your eyes only, Spy who loved me,
Goldeneye and World is not enough,
Godfinger and From Russia With Love

I always meant to get that...I saw a single disc version and a double. Now I can't find it anywhere.

I'm away from home so can't check which version I have. But I think it runs up to the first Brosnan films.
There's so much great stuff on it - and it's funny that a lot of it is styles I don't really listen to. Cheesy easy listening...
My favourite track would have to be A View to a Kill, but that's an all-out contemporary pop song and as such, atypical for a Bond film. What a brilliant track. Only the olud synth riffs have dated.

Re: Top Three Bond Films
I think it runs up to Goldeneye...I'm pretty sure it got released shortly after the movie did. A View To A Kill, Nobody Does It Better, For Your Eyes Only, Skyfall and of course Live and Let Die are among my favorite themes. Thunderball isn't too bad either.
