I ahve from reliable source, that Britney isn't stupid, but in fact pretty intelligent. That has nothing to do with her music though, the same source said;-)

Is the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" somehow getting mixed up with the "R'n R Hall of Fame"? They're two different things, but both governed by poularity more than anything else.
On the "Hollywood..." thing all you need is a few thousand(?) dollars and a petition with a few hundred signatures and you get a star! Granted, there are many there who more than deserve/earned it. Just as there are many in the "R'n R HoF" who certainly earned the honor. In a way, I look at Purple's omission - up to this point - a few different ways. One - pure ignorance. Maybe a lot of the voters view them as one hit metal wonders...who knows? Two - could be spite, as has been pointed out. Three - Maybe the voters just feel there's plenty of time to do it in the future. Now to open myself up for a barrage - I think a lot of Purple fans' complaining is based on sour grapes - pun fully intended. If they had been elected by now, Purple fans would hail the "R'nR H o F" with more respect, along with the process that gets a band or artist in.

your obviously not up to knowing much about the owner of Rolling Stone magazine.
Spite is the word I think you mentioned,this play's the
number one role here,I gaurentee it.
I see no reason to wave an American flag over this issue,
Aeroshit does not belong there before a band like Purple.
You keep taking shot's at the way Purple fan's see thing's
as if they have no place standing up for theirselve's
so what if were proud Of Purple,you should be too,and quit
talking as if we think Purple is the only rock band there ever was.
Some of us like all kind's of music and rock band's too for that matter.
You seem to think were all just so narrow minded,
and it's not true. 
It takes way more integrity to appreciate Purple than
Aeroshit. 
Rock and Roll is for the world,and not just American's.
Popularity should have nothing to do with getting into
the hall of shame when it comes to belonging there,
and Purple does ten times over.
Besides they have been around long enough and they have sold over 130 million record's,if that's not deserving of it
than what the hell IS popularity anyway,a band that has earned it's fame off the back of it's girlfriendly image?
You think Aeroshit is more popular than Deep Purple,
then tell me why they haven't sold as many record's?
They have quite a way to go there,this is not about America
it's about rock and roll.can you say BRITTISH????????
