Re: Big suprise in Arnhem!!!
Actually, it's not just beginning with Paicey's solo, it was a complete version of the Mule, sung by IG, actually the first complet version of the Mule in 39 years !! And they did it again in Halle. It replaced (very pleasantly if you ask me !!) Knocking At Your Backdoor.
And BTW, the Arnhem show was absolutely brilliant, I think easily in my top 5 DP show (knowing I'm now at 27 !). Halle was very good as well, some tracks even better than in Arnhem, but overall I'd say there was that spark in Arnhem that made it a notch better !
Edit : I must add there were also new arrangement, most notably in Strange Kind of Woman, which was played without the orechestra in the summer (and I think in the UK) but that was adapted for the orchestra now, with a saxophone solo between the guitar and organ solo !! Very good as well !!

Re: Big suprise in Arnhem!!!
Oh, I thought a SS division was resting there. Sorry.
But yes, it is a nice surprise! Last played on the Stormbringer tour?

Re: Big suprise in Arnhem!!!
I wonder, did they do the middle part (guitar solo) as well?

The "theme" sounds real good with the orchestra. I wish they'd thought of that before recording the Montreux gig!

Okay, I'mlistening to the whole thing from a concert in Germany, and no they don't do the guitar solo bit. It's more of a MIJ version. It's damn good! The orchestra is awesome on that track.
Bravo!
Welcome back Paicey!

Ah, Sosabowski. Treated very poorly by the British, and did the best he could in a bad position.
A bit like Tommy Bolin.
