Re: How well has Bananas sold?
I bought one for me, one for a friend and got the vinyl as a present later, that makes another three copies, we're on the right way!

Deep Purple may be one of the most mismanaged rock group of all time.
I totally, really, really agree with you 120%. With a band like that composed of 5 firstrate class A+ musicians, bands which composed of thirdrate or class C musicians, sold better than that.
Let's make that sale 5,000 records as of today , the album "title" also add insult to injury.
Let's hope the tour could push it to at least 100,000.

Re: How well has Bananas sold?
Okay, we have 5,000 copies sold in the US, but how about elsewhere. It has to have gone gold in Japan and a few European countries by now.

Re: How well has Bananas sold?
When I first read the figures of 3,500.
I thought this must be a joke, but realized it's NOT.
I don't know if I'm gonna laugh or what, but this is five years in the making with the help of a successful producer Michael Bradford.
This increases my belief that a major label support is very important, they could be in the major label, but without their support, it means nothing, I'm talking about being one of the priorities.

Re: How well has Bananas sold?
Deep Purple, band and management, have displayed an uncanny accuracy + frequency in the ability to shoot themselves in the foot - or ass, as it were - through the years.
