Out Now: A Hart Life by Colin Hart

The publication of Colin Hart's (who worked for Purple and Rainbow, mostly as the tour manager, from early 1970s to early 2000s) autobiographical book has been postponed from early October to late October.

I ordered a copy of the deluxe version a while ago. There is also a standard hardback edition available.

Hart Life

Received my copy today. Looks really good, looking forward reading it!

Those who are interested in the book are advised to buy the deluxe edition (comes with an extra bookelet of memorabilia and a hard slip case). Those who are interested in the deluxe edition are advised to act soon as the deluxe edition is limited to 300 copies.

Received a note like this to my Inbox:

"Hi all, got my copy this [sign in to see URL] dynamite, jaw dropping tales of RB tantrums/terror arise every other page. Egging on an already bashed up roadie to continue scrapping w Phil Mogg before a gig, impossible demands put on roadies (collecting hair pieces from bars post [sign in to see URL]!), putting the phone down on a 'refreshed' E Van Halen are a couple that come to mind. The whole TBRO rages on saga is portayed afresh from Harts perspective, I hadn't really seen things this way and this so far is the best part of the book. We see how Bruce Payne finally cut) loose. Recommended to all!"

Thans for the tip about the deluxe edition, I would have missed it otherwise. Looking forward to this one!

It'd also be very interesting to read something similar about the 75/76 DP tour, or just be able to interview someone who was working on that tour.

Just finishing it (providing I get another half hour of spare time!), has been a great read this far. Review to follow!
