I put it on and I was hooked. In Rock you may be thinking...No it was Jesus Christ Superstar and I played the hell out of it. This Lp laid the ground work for my future taste in music which is why I have to giveas my #1 Gillan song Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say. As the years progressed I found Deep Purple at 11 and stayed with them till their demise in 76. I followed Gillan's solo work after he left DP as well as I was a fan of his work away from DP. quite strange taste in music for a young boy when his friends were listning to Kiss and later Led Zeppelin. My friends just didn't get my devotion to the Deep Purple family I will always love the music from that time in my life. 1.Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say 2.M.A.D. Brilliant vocal tone over a soft backing track. Lyrics which were partly reused for Sugar Plum later on. From the Gillan era, my favourites are On the Rocks, a true band performance, Bluesy Blue Sea, with Gillan being on the razor's edge for the whole song, and Gers' great guitar work, and finally I'd say Secret of the Dance for the sheer energy of it !!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Apolllo)Mon, 14 Mar 2011 21:19:38 +0000 Re: GILLAN FANS ONLYhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p449619,from=rss#post449619https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p449619,from=rss#post449619Future Shock is a fantastic record,i love every single track,if i had to pick my fav from it,then it would be "For your dreams" Gillan at his best.nondisclosed_email@example.com (unwritenlaw)Mon, 14 Mar 2011 08:43:08 +0000 Re: GILLAN FANS ONLYhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p449615,from=rss#post449615https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p449615,from=rss#post449615To mention a few favourites: A Little Share of Plenty, of Cherkazoo is an excellent melodic rocker with amusing lyrics.
