Wow; listen to this! Gillan not close to being able to sing Smoke.. Sad. Hanging on to his mic stand, and not reaching the notes in the verse... Listen to the second verse. Bad sound, but...listen:

Same version, different angle:

As much as I understand they should change the setlist when playing the same area on different tours, I really don't understand why they should change the setlist between Europe and Mexico. How many people at this gig saw them on the recent European tour ? So why should they change it ?

Re: Yesterday's show - any news regarding setlist?
There is no reason why to change the setlist when you are playing for totally different part of world. Keeping concert fresh is NOT about setlist.
To be honest - I´m worried from the Mexico clips - some things are clearly not right, but we will know more on Russian tourleg. I think that IG is sick again - something like two years ago when he lost his voice on South America Tourleg in February. It seems to me that he has some health issue (he even mentioned something about health issues of him and Ian Paice at press conference) - I saw him in October 2 times with DP and he behaved absolutely different - than on Mexico clips - its not just about the way how he is singing, its strange to see him sing almost whole Highway Star fixed on micstand at the center of stage - simply "not enjoying" to perform for fans. Something is clearly wrong, but I saw him in that "sick mode" in 2009 too and he was fantastic just 2 days later.

Re: Yesterday's show - any news regarding setlist?
It's well known Gillan's not able to deliever *it* anymore. I think he should stick to his modern day solo material. It fits him better these days. DP's been a terrible struggle for him (and not money's worth for fans!) for the last 5 or 6 years.

Re: Yesterday's show - any news regarding setlist?
I think he has been tolerable up till now.. But the versions of Smoke from Mexico (not a demanding song) where he is not able to actually sing the song anymore, is below the limit. He makes up something else, a lower melody, and sings that instead..
He is beginning to change the song(s) to where its is no longer the same tune, because of lack of vocal abilities. Then it's gone too far.
But things can change for the better again, for a limited period - before its the end for good...:-)
