New Don Airey album


Carl Sentance, singer on Don Airey latest solo album "A Light In The Sky", reported on his facebook page:

"Don Aireys new solo album ready to be mastered! Musicians so far are Rob Harris (Jamiroquai), Joe Bonamassa, Laurence Cottle (Eric Clapton/Cher/Sting), Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream), Keith Airey (Colin Blunstone/Zombies) Bernie Marsden (WhiteSnake). Can't wait for the tour next year!"

Been listening to this alot in the last few days. It's a really good album, maybe a little less diverse than "A light in the sky" and more direct. Some of the instrumental passages are quite jaw dropping! I love to imagine how DP would play songs like these ones: it would be a great record surely.

In a way yes, this one is more accessible, it has more "classic" rock tracks. In fact, I often thought that half of the album could have been dP material.
