I'm sorry but there is no way Blacker's accidently screws up the intro to SOTW. He is just messing around and having some fun with the crowd who were (already!) clapping along to the riff.

I agree with Srcus.

We all F^$%&^$&*(UCKIN' agree with him...I@M SORRY I DID'NT MEAN TO SAY SCREW UP....I M SORRY
BLACKERS NEVER SCREWS UP...NEVER...NEVER...HANG ME HIGH NOW
HE RE-INVENTED SOTW THAT NIGHT HE'S A PURE GENIUS...I'M SORRY....GET THE WHIP...

So what about this fever?

Whooaaa - Chill out purpletemple! emoticon There's no aggro here at all.

If my memory serves me right, Ritchie broke a string on the SoTW intro (or perhaps screwed up!) on 16/8/72 - hence the version on MiJ is from the night before! Hell, yeah, the ol' bugger is only human - IMHO I just think that from listening to what he did live (especially with MkIII) he quite enjoyed 'toying' with the audience and stretching out the intros to songs (or even during the songs: eg the break in Burn on Made In Europe).

Today I received the boot of Perks and Tit from another good poster here - RB's enthusiastic and committed playing on Burn is 'eccentric' to say the least. emoticon

He's as human as you and I are. And just as prone to making the odd mistake! emoticon

If only you were right Nighthawk...But the ol bugger is NoT only human...

Bring the whip anyway!I've been bad and need to be punished.
If you're blond and have big titties you're welcome to punish me (I will accept brunettes and red-haired too but only with huge melons)

Sorry i just wanted to do a big quote!!!!!

Yep, on the Osaka(first night) version it sounds okay but on the second and third nights it sounds rather weird, and you can hear Gillan laughing as you must´ve thought that was kind of a gag.
