Mitzi is a great song, musically. The vocal's aren't bad. Lyrics are a complete and utter nonsence though. But thats a standard thing with Mr.Gillan.

The lyrics are great, and tells a true story.

How do you know he wasn't sitting in row U with Suzy Q? Maybe he was sitting in seat 4 with a whore. Maybe he was really in 4D when he had to pee. How do we know it was a plane. Could have been the tour bus and he was dreaming of Geezer. Or maybe Mitzi/Suzy Q was a tennis star.
Or maybe Mitzi Dupree is a transexual stripper from Vegas.

Re: Mitzi Dupree

For me, the quality of lyrics isn't dependent on whether it's a true story.

Moreover, the quality of the lyrics doesn't matter to me anyway in this case because I think that the song is totally crap, one of the worst things Mk II have ever created.

About 15 years ago I played drums in a DP cover band, and we had that song in the set. At first it was OK fot me to play it, but after a few weeks I found it so boring that I was glad every time we had played it and I knew that we would not play it again during the same rehearsal or gig. I didn't hate the song from the beginning, but it didn't take long until I started to hate it.

It's the truth according to Gillans Gospel, and that is good enough for me. Y'know, being a Gillan fanboy and all.

So you're not only easily impressed but extremely gullible as well.
I hope the Easter Bunny is good to you this year.
Do you leave milk and cookies for Santa Claus?

Do you and Fat Larry compete for who is going to wipe Gillans ass or is it a threesome?

I'm sure there are enough women out there who do crazy stuff with their love triangle, so even if it's not a true story, it can't be far from one. And I'm sure Gillan-and most stars-must see incredible things, seeing how many people they meet everyday and how many people are ready to do anything to impress stars.
