Why i prefer Steve Morse......!

For many reasons!I like his appearance on stange you know his movements,i like very very much the way he is dressed, all the time he is so well dressed(emoticon) and the most important is that he plays dirty guitar not that straight sound, you know what i mean that tremolo thing for example on 7nth heaven and in every song! His playing is awesome my friends and you can't deny it!I don't want a debate SM-RB but what you like on Steve Morse! All you have something to tell............

I especially love his roaring intro on Highway Star (a.o.)

R......!

Re: Why I prefer Steve Morse....

Because he wants to be a member of Deep Purple!

As to him walking in on a dream or how he dresses...uhhhhhhhh-no!

I did have a dream about Ian Gillan once!

I was driving down a countryside and ran along Gillan. We both proceeded to the bar and got drunk. Great dream...like the beer, it gets you wet emoticon

Steve Morse is undoubtedly a great guitarist, and seems right at home in the current DP line-up. Comparisons with a previous guitarist are inevitable, but futile - I've seen him live twice with DP, plus have a bundle of live MKVII recordings - Steve's not the most inventive or adventurous guitarist around, but he delivers the goods gig after gig. It might be nice to think that the band could recapture those 'dangerous days' of the early 70s when they were pushing the boundaries, and even today they really could and should show some of the nu metal bands how to do it, but it ain't gonna happen.

Ritchie was great, Coverdale was great.... but...this band in all its incarnations, have given me so much enjoyment for over 20 years, I can't find it in me to slag them off for making their own choices and doing what they want to do emoticon

Don't you think that doing what they do with so much heart and soul after 35 years is pushing the boundaries???

I like the fact that he has a personal style. He uses all this chromatics inside the pentatonics and all this harmonics that make him so recognisable.I recognised his playing in Kansas' "Power" even though back then I didn't knew that he had played with them.
