ritchie's hair... in response to your post about your goal in life (the cave dream emoticon ) - i just wanted to say that it's my goal too ; but it seems like sometimes one needs
to make a bigger effort to reach such a goal then just drift
along the "normal" way.

or as Picasso (apparently) said : "i want to be rich enough to live like a poor man" emoticon

Sounds like a lovely place to exist....but not for me, I'm destined to end up in a cave on a windswept Scottish island just a few caves down from David Meadows. emoticon

Did I say I lived in a cave in Scotland? emoticon

Damn, I say some weird things sometimes... no wonder I forget them again as soon as possible emoticon

Let's face it - the way house prices are going, soon RH and DM won't be the only ones living in caves in Scotland emoticon

I bought my cave for 29p last year and now I'm hoping to sell it for £120,000 emoticon

After I get the "house doctor" in to help! emoticon

emoticon The only snag is there's no door on my cave to keep the double-glazing salesmen out!

You have to de-clutter and de-personalise your cave, sweep up all the animal bones and campfire ashes and get rid of those old fashioned stalactites and bring your cave into the present day, when a buyer walks in they don't want to see all these unsightly old mineral formations and think about who you're trying to sell the cave to, are you targetting the single disillusioned hermit market or do you think it's big enough to sell to a family of new-age travellers looking for a place in the country?.

I've seen more of that bloody programme than I'd ever want to, we're getting the house ready to sell next spring and my mum religiously trawls UK Style and Channel 5 looking for it at every opportunity.

The bloody programme drives me demented but I'm inexplicably drawn to it like... like a bad car crash. I really shouldn't watch it, it's bad for my blood pressure to rant at stupid people on TV emoticon
