I don't think I've listened to ANY Deep Purple since the London gig in the summer emoticon

All studio albums and "classic live". I am currently uploading them on my hard-drive for my virtual music library, so I can easily move them into my mp3 player whenever I feel like riding the metro with some Purple in my ears...

In fact, I have (almost) all their albums constantly in my iPod so I listen to different albums, depending on mood, "all" the time. Right now Live In Stockholm 1970 and Montreux 2006 are spinning quite often. There's only one album I don't listen to, and that's S&M. I just don't like it.

Going through all my old b**tlegs of MKII. 1969-1973, 1984-1988 and 1993.

The reunion period of 1984-1987 was a lot better than I remembered. Gillan sounds great in most performances.

Yeah, one remembers NP the best of the reunion live stuff but the bulk of the boots reveal a band firing on all cylinders. Gillan's voice was so powerful back then. Even in Paris '85 where he'd lost the top of his voice because of a flu you can still hear that power.

I had never noticed that at the beginning of Going Down, Glenn Hughes, sings (along with DC) something along the line of "If you see my baby tell her we need some cocaine".

This band was doomed! emoticon

I have a copy of "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents..." (which is the same thing). I enjoyed my initial listen until that cocaine line (no pun intended). That totally ruined the entire disc for me.

Anyways, today I'm Bolinizing to CTTB, Teaser, Private Eyes and "Spectrum" by Billy Cobham.
