I was just wondering...
...if anything ever came about regarding the rumors I'd heard & read years ago that the BBC had recorded MkI's last show in Cardif(?) in 1969?
Anyone else ever hear of this or have any other info?

Re: I was just wondering...
According to the Illustrated Biography and Nigel Young's Diary July 1/3/4 was scheduled for BBC Radio's "Sounds Like Tony Brandon" broadcast was aired of the session comprising of (Lalena/The Painter/I'm So Glad) from June 24, 1969. They played Top Rank in Cardiff the same day/evening but this is the first I read of the possibility of that gig being recorded. Maybe people were confusing the recording of the BBC studio sessions with the gig of July 4. The schedule states that on July 7 BBC Radio's "Chris Grant's Tasty Pop Sundae" broadcast was aired of the session comprising of (The Painter/I'm So Glad/Hush) from June 30, 1969. I read in the notes of one of the remastered Mark I CDs that some of the BBC's recordings have been wiped! Three days later was the live debut of Mark II at the Speakeasy Club.
