Re: Female Vocals on Deep Purple Songs

My brother used to have a dP tribute band with a female vocalist. I found it very good, she had a low deep voice (for a lady)and it was definitly more interesting than yet another Gillan-wannabe.
They were playing all stuff mainly from MK II and III.
The songs I really liked were When a blindman cries, Soldier of fortune and mainly mid tempo songs.
But generally the people didn't like it, they were quite sexist and I think they would just see the lady and say it wasn't right.

Ther's also a cover of CIT from a belgian band named Vive La Fête. Funny but quite useless.
