Nothing wrong with Cuba....or Castro. I can say that from my own personal experience.
There is, however, ALOT of things wrong with Kremlin and Russia and Medved. Again I am talking from my personal experience.
But hey I don't care, really who gives a !@#$? Maybe the big fans of the current line-up. Oh well.

Perhaps the Cubans who can't vote for who they like, can't travel, can't read what the books they like, can't use the Internet, can't listen to the music they like (hell, they can't even play music without government approval!), can't criticize Castro or the Communist Party, can't be homosexuals, and risk imprisonment or worse if they step out of line. Maybe they actually do give a !@#$?

Re: DP in Russia
The show was filmed very very well, and the theater room in the Kremlin is something else, SOTW was played excellent by all, but the lights were tough on them, especially Gillan, but the rest of the band didn't seem to be as affected by it, they played every note of it spot on with precision.
Smoke filled the stage, Paice up on a big riser platform, screens about the stage with fire and lightning, and all in all it looked and sounded very cool... this is one clip I watched a few times in a row, due to the sheer vibrance and quality of it.
Money or no money, political nonsense or not, it seemed like a decent show.
But about the money... if Tina Turner was paid as much as she was, it does make me wonder how much they made, cause she made bank!

I'm still puzzled by the fact Steve Morse cannot play SotW riff...

Re: DP in Russia
Ah... you're just jealous cause they won't play in your back yard for 30 quid!
[edit]
Thanks for sharing the tiny streaming youtube file link Al, but it's best captured and shared for download of the fine quality 198 MB clip it came from.
Also, those clips can easily be transcoded and captured to your hard drive... if you ever need assistance, just ask, thats what I'm here for.

Nobody can. It's Blackmore's riff and it's HOW he did it that made it how it sounds.
Good version, though.
Although the stage looks a bit "cold" and very organized, somehow unfriendly. I remember playing a big festival in 93 in Russia (with Glenn Hughes, Blood sweat and tears and others), and I remember I had that same feeling of cleaness, even coldness. The organisation was a must, so I can only imagine how well organised it must be in the Kremlin for huge rock stars...
The crowd was also sitting, but no Poutine back then and there!
