Who the hell goes through the trouble to come up with such a pathetic hoax? But to tell the truth, I'm relieved it's a hoax.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rezi)Sat, 29 May 2004 16:23:14 +0000 Re: Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19101,from=rss#post19101https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19101,from=rss#post19101quote:Rezi wrote: How about that film with RB and CN in it? I'm wondering why the project was scrapped,or it would seem so anyway. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gillans micstand)Sun, 23 May 2004 17:54:09 +0000 Re: Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19097,from=rss#post19097https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19097,from=rss#post19097I had this link on the “old” site: http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/news/newsfeeds/page.cfm?objectid=11973848&method=full Paul Deblond Blackmore's Night Official Scandinavian Fan Club http://www.blackmoresnight.nu nondisclosed_email@example.com (pauldrax)Sun, 23 May 2004 15:42:28 +0000 Re: Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19096,from=rss#post19096https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19096,from=rss#post19096Appearently according to Carlo Little,Ritchie and Jimmy Page have never been to keen on duscussing or even admitting much about their association to Meek. It's pretty well covered if you take the time to read through Carlos accounts of the time.   http://www.carlolittle.com nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gillans micstand)Sun, 23 May 2004 14:06:50 +0000 Re: Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19095,from=rss#post19095https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19095,from=rss#post19095quote:Gillans micstand wrote: Wasn't there a movie being made about Joe Meek's life, starring Ian Robertson as Ritchie Blackmore? I remember reading about this s couple of years back, but haven't heard a word since. Any infos would be much appreciated. I don't know about this movie, but I'd be interested to hear more about what Ritchie really got up to during those days. I suspect that a lot of it is myth, but I'd still be intrigued to know the real story. Certianly Ritchie seemed to learn his trade in these Joe Meek Sessions and it must have prepared him well for what was to come later.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BlackerThanNight)Sun, 23 May 2004 11:06:19 +0000 Re: Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19094,from=rss#post19094https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19094,from=rss#post19094Thanks for the informative comment ByTor,but you sound as if you don't know that this deals with the tragic life story of a producer Blackmore worked with in the early 60's,in what I consider to be a very interesting and very important time in his career. It might help if you knew some of the countless singles to come out of the recording sessions, showing his talent in a time before he was world famous, some of what I consider my favorite work of his came out of this period. This is the most focused area I am involved in as a collecter of his music. Every time a camera got to close he'd smash it with his Strat or pour water (Evian) on the camera man. nondisclosed_email@example.com (ByTor)Sun, 23 May 2004 01:16:17 +0000 Joe Meek Story (movie)https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19092,from=rss#post19092https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p19092,from=rss#post19092Wasn't there a movie being made about Joe Meek's life, starring Ian Robertson as Ritchie Blackmore?
