Great, this is great. I'm so glad they seem to want to play "forgotten" songs.

I believe dP fans deserve the classics but that the hard core fans deserve at least a couple of rarities here and there!

Thanx for posting the link!!! !!

Great to hear them doing something from Purpendicular. I wonder if Ian G. is dissapointed that he can't hit notes when only ten years ago he could. Add to that the fact that he thinks his voice is 10X better now than it was then. He just seems to get tired and only sing half verses now, it's weird. Like he needs to recoop after each note.

Gillan did fine! If they keep this one in the set for a bit, then it should really turn into something tight and super-spectacular. Good as it is already!

I'll never get why the audience is used for rehearsals. A concert ticket is expensive enough to get a ready stunning show.

I can't say much. It has a lousy sound quality, it's just youtube and my old speakers aren't the best. But that IG's voice is better than 10 years ago seems to be a joke.

Please dont forget that this was live premiere of that song. He could rehearse it 1000 times, but concert premiere is still concert premiere. It´s same example as Living Wreck in January 2006 - he just have to find optimal way how to sing it live - its very different from studio singing. I think that he will sing it very differently on each show now until he´ll find a great way how to sing it. This song is definately NOT out of his vocal abilities now! As singer he´s now far better than was in Purpendicular era. Only ignorants (I´m sorry to say that, but if you compare recordings from current era and Purpendicular shows, his voice is clearly better) who dont listen to latest recordings will doubt about it.

It might be you didn't understand what I mean. He (they) should invest the time to test new (premier) songs live without audience. Not in a studio but somewhere in a room where they can sit (stand) together and test how the song is going best.

A teacher has to prepare his lessons. A singer his songs!

When I liked his voice 10 years ago more than today it is my subjective thing and my opinion. Feel free to have another one. emoticon

I think you dont like "colour" or tone of his voice. But from technical parameters about "quality" of the voice, he´s better - he have power, range...
