They All Came Down to Montreux

My copy arrived today from HMV, which was a pleasant suprise. The sound quality is fantastic, as is the filming. The audience are fairly into the whole thing. I do with they would have shown the intro music before Pictures of Home, that's very exciting and I enjoy the build-up. A couple of guest musicians, including Michael Bradford are barely audible (probably for the best).

I haven't yet watched the Hard Rock Cafe part yet.

If the guy singing during the encors is not audible, it is really for the best, because whe heard him a lot during the show, and it was awful ! Bradford's guitar sound was more like a very distorded bass sound, strange !

What was the reaction when they introduced Bradford as their special musical guest? Complete and total apathy?

even that credit.

On the Hard Rock gig: Is Don Airey trying to sing background vocals during I Got Your Number? You cannot hear anything at all!

Okay, it seems like the dvd must be better than the cd, cause I bought the cd and Ian Gillan seems out of tune pretty much from beginning to end, and there are some major edits too...

You mean the Japanese edition?

No, the european. The ending of When a blindman is missing a verse.

From DPAS:

"It looks as if the Japanese edition of this new CD will include ALL the set on two discs, rather than the slightly shorter single CD in Europe which lacks the encore and Morse's showcase. Silly thing to do and annoying for collectors. Info is scarce but if we're right the extra CD tracks would be The Well Dressed Guitar, Hush, Too Much Fun, and Black Night. To confirm, the Montreux set IS complete on the DVD in Europe. DPAS mailorder will be stocking this import edition. If anyone who has ordered the single CD UK edition wishes to upgrade their order, please email Ann asap. We do not yet have a confirmed delivery date (street date in Japan is third week of July but they take some time to reach us) or exact price (likely to be £23 / £25)."

No need to say I ordered the Japanese edition...
