Yeah, exactly the thousend of 14 to 18 year old new fans spotted by IG during the concerts.

Until now I only can see well known "oldies" repeating the topics of the DPFF emoticon

Re: The Highway Star Forums Re-Open

First, let me say that I think it's wonderful that the Highway Star finally re-opened their discussion forums. I 100% fully support that.
Now for some criticism, which I'm debating whether to post on their "Feedback" or "Administrative" (and it appears that everyone has that option, although that may not be the case) boards"

The whole "Thread Tree" thing and method(s) or lack of method(s) to reply or quote directly to another poster is - to me - needlessly complicated and potentially overly-confusing (I know, I know - much like some people have found my 'prose' or posting style to be! There, it's out of the way, so no one else has to bother pointing that out now! emoticon). Why not just have the latest post appear as the latest post on a topic? I, for one, don't want to have to 'collapse' a thread just to see the latest post or to have to maybe go back through pages of a topic to read a reply to one of my posts.
It just seems to me that the set-up of the old Highway Star & this (Runboard) forum are more 'user-friendly' and a bit simpler to [sign in to see URL] of my criterias for that sentiment being that if I can learn/be taught to properly utilize options & functions of an internet discussion board, practically anyone can!
I read one of the administrator's explanations for the set-up, but it just came across as being somewhat of an 'It's different for the sake of being different' sort of thing (in parts)...it seems to me that it's easier to teach/instruct users how to properly use such things as, for instance, the quoting option than to have to copy 'n paste from someone's post that one may wish to quote from...
Ah, what the hell - the forum's only been up for not even a week yet, so maybe some 'bugs' are still being worked out and who knows, formats can be changed relatively simply anyway.
