To me, it seems that it is Blackmore's voice, reacting on Paice. It's also that Blackmore-fire which wants to say: "Don't you dare to hit it again!" It's the same voice as heard on Rainbow Live On Stage, saying: "Thank you people! Ronnie James Dio on the vo-cals!"

That was Jimmy Bain was it not on Rainbow on stage? i dont think RB has ever spoken to an audience on stage,i could be wrong though i think i was once before

I could be wrong, but I believe he spoke to the audience at the Brixton Academy gig on the SIUA tour. Don't know what he said, but was told this by a mate who was there.

He did at least once, that I'm aware of.

Aalborg, Denmark 10−08−1980, I was there.

Before the show started, he went on stage and walked to Grahams mike and said "Sorry, bad acoustics" and then left the stage again. It's not on the boot, as it was pre show and unexpected. It was the same show where Graham tried to get him to sing, but he declined. BTW, the boot is wrong, it wasn't in Albork, it was in Aalborg.

I agree boogaloo, I think it's Ritchie talking just before Jam Stew. Certainly sounds like somebody a bit fed up.

To be exact, he says;

"Sorry I dropped a..a real beauty..I don't mean I farted, I mean I played a wrong note"

So there!

Here's another thing...
Just before Paicey says "I smashed a microphone" on Chat 7, if you listen very carefully - put your cans on - you can hear a loud 'POP' or 'CRACK' sound, presumably the sound of flailing stick on drum mic.

Might I add that it is a fantastically cool and Purple sounding POP or CRACK done in an incredibly skillful and entertaining way emoticon

Okay, let´s force on the what is being said more than on the who says what, it seems to me most of us haven´t heard enough interviews of the time with the several band members and so most people here who they want to here(it is definitly Paice before Jam Stew, listen to his voice on any interview).
