Slip of the tongue deluxe - Tokyo footage
DC mentions in the recent Fireworks interview that he has recently uncovered footage of the last Slip of the tongue tour show in Tokyo. appears to have been shot from hehind the drum riser by his assistant at the time. he mentions it'll probably be added to the upcoming re issue of the LP. I'm unclear from his comments whether this is the whole show or not

Re:
Will be interesting to hear. Hope its not as bad as I fear it could be ,being the end of the tour and knowing how he sounded towards the end of the MoR tour including when September his voice led to the keyboard player singing instead of him in Iceland!
On a positive, I would expect the re-issue to be superb. With what DC has done for the last couple & I would expect the demo's will produce some gems. I like a fair few songs off the album but the album itself less so.

Wasnt the best musically either in any way shape or form . DC struggled badly at that show, its the first time I had heard his voice going downhill .

Actually ive just watched this show again for the first time in years(im going through a bit of a Whitesnake period just now since the release of Flesh and Blood ) and its actually a bloody brilliant show!!
Yes the picture isn't great and yes DC is a bit rough at times but the energy and performances are brilliant despite the girly man image all in all its a very entertaining show.
BTW Tommy Aldridge is an absolute drumming monster ive never understood the hard time he gets on this forum at times?I know he doesnt swing like Paicey and isn't the type of drummer for the Moody Marsden version of the band(neither was Cozy ) but he is the perfect drummer for the post 87 Whitesnake.

Because he has no subtlety or "groove" in his playing.

neither did Cozy but i don't see him getting a hard time on here?
As i said before early Whitesnake material was enhanced with Paiceys style but post Slide It In Whitesnake are equally enhanced by Tommys style IMHO.
Don't understand the slagging of the guy he is a drum legend and a pioneer of the double bass drum and still delivers to this day! or are all his former employers wrong?ie Black Oak Arkansas, Pat Travers Band, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, Ted Nugent, Thin Lizzy and many more legends of the business seem to like his style?

I'm not sure those qualities are required of post 1987 WS drummer John? DC certainly doesn't seem to think so.
