California Jam Lp

Does anybody have an idea of what this is exactly?

It looks kinda strange, if it's an LP that they would be able to put SotW/ You Fool No One and Space Truckin' on ONE SIDE...

It's being sold on Ebay as well as amazon...How legit can this be?

It seems legit. The feedback is positive and indicates that it is what it claims to be. It is a UK company and
pressing on purple vinyl. It could be interesting.

I don't see how that could be right; YFNO and Space Truckin' would each take up one whole side as could those versions of Mistreated and SotW. No way they could get all of that on one single lp unless the songs are extremely edited.

It doesn't seem legit to me. It's from a company called "Sounds LTD". We had a company called "Creative Sounds" here in the States that put out Deep Purple's first 3 albums on CD in the 1980's that were taken directly off old records. It appears that the person running this company is from the States. You could hear all the scratches and clicks and the CD labels were unfocused. I think it might be part of the same company plus, how could Smoke, YFNO and ST be on the same side. Also, the reviews for Sounds LTD are terrible!!

The company seems to be Coda. I own a couple of cd's/ Lp's released by them. They're mostly Live recordings (sources vary) put on records, and I can't complain about the quality of what I've bought so far.

My real concern is the SotW/YFNO and ST on one side...

Anyway, I couldn't resist and bought it...I'll let you guys know in a few days... emoticon

The vinyl that came with the Rufus Stone California Jam book is a double album running 80 minutes. That's probably the one to go for (if you find it)

Yeah, I've seen that, but you can't really find it anymore.

I've only paid 16 euro, if the Lp is crap, I can always listen to the cd while admiring the cover of the Lp... emoticon

It says in the Sounds page that they took over the Coda recordings.

I was able to view the running times at a site that sells it. It is very edited. It lists YFNO as 5 minutes and 3 seconds long and ST as 9 minutes and 15 seconds long.
