From everything I've read, they wanted Joe to stay and I believe Joe wanted to. It was record company politics that prevented it as I said above ^^
They did plan to do a live release with Joe from the Japanese shows and Joe's record company shot it down based on comments I'd seen from the band.

Some say mk IIb, what is that? Can only be one mk II..
Of course there's only one MKII, but the b and c are about a specific period of the MKII. It's just precision.
I could say I saw MKII Live, and I wouldn't be lying, but to be precise I've seen MKIIb,c.

So on top of everything else, this year is the 25th anniversary of mk IIc..?
I would just simply say I saw dp in the year of whatever.
