To me it's not surprising when fans discuss things from the fans' view and not from the musicians' view.

Well, I just can’t understand why some people choose to hang ‘round a Deep Purple fan forum year after year after year after year when they haven’t enjoyed the bands music in decades!?! There are better ways to spend your life.

This board isn't just about what the band did in the 21st century.

Be a dull board if all everyone did was say how great everything that DP have done.
There have been many different versions of the same band, it is unusual for someone to like every MK.

Re: Mark IX?

It has comes to a time when I no longer care if Blackmore joins them or not on their farewell tour, it's obvious that Gillan doesn't want it, Gillan doesn't want Coverdale or Hughes either.

I only wish for another studio album, their 21st studio album, it must be recorded next year. That's all I wish now.

Go ahead end Deep Purple as soon as possible, if that's their choice, but DON'T STOP Blackmore, Coverdale, Hughes and Simper in reforming Purple, if they want to revive the band again, because they have the right to do it.

No wonder that Gillan doesn't want to have Hughes on stage. Glenn would blow him away voice wise.

It will never happen, IG has made it perfectly clear. It is far too late now anyway, when JL was alive it could have happened and might even have been worthwhile, but RB playing with RG and DA is three fifths of early 80's Rainbow, but nothing to do with DP.

Why?
 The albums are boring.

I bought many Mark VII and VIII live albums and almost all of these are so boring.

At least in a new studio album we get.....
1. New songs.
2. Gillan will sound great and Morse will play better.
3. The album will hit #1 in many parts of Europe.
4. We get outtakes or bonus tracks.
5. We get special deluxe edition box set of the album.
7. We get single 7" release.
8. We get to watch new music videos.
9. Runboard forum will become hot again.
10. We get excited! At least many of us.

On the negative side.....
Ptr will "not" be happy about this. 🤓😀😜

Just jokin' ptr.
