Morse/Airey at NEC with Lynerd Skynyrd supporting (LS blew them off stage), again no idea of the year, and NEC in 2017.

DP/Lynyrd Skynyrd was 2003. Skynyrd were brilliant.

yes they were brilliant and yes they did indeed blow DP off the stage they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. It was quite a dull DP performance IMHO,pretty sure it was this gig that they played Haunted at as it was just before Bananas was released?the only time the crowd really got going was during SOTW

I wasn't sure of the year, or if it was in support of an album, but it makes sense it was just before the release of Bananas as they played a couple of songs that nobody knew.
It was a really dull show, the crowd were almost silent after LS. Never bothered again until last year and it convinced me that it is time for my DP story to come to a close.

Yeah that pretty much did it for me too i went to a couple of shows after that but to be honest it was more out of some misplaced loyalty? and the thought that it was going to be their last time every time, rather than actually really wanting to see them again.

`96 Glasgow, impressive, much better than expected, wish Blackmore was there although Morse was excellent. Managed to see Blackmore the year before in London, and have seen him live four times with Rainbow and BN, but maybe should have made the effort to see the early 90`s DP...

was that at the old Barrowlands? If so i was there too and it was a great gig emoticon

Yep, support band were pure death metal or similar? not really a good warm up for Purple IMO, but DP (and Gillan) were on form that night.

It is of course great to have seen Mk III. Long time ago though, and I don't remember everything exactly. But it was my first big concert, 14 years old. Scandinavium was full and I was in awe of the whole thing.
Blackmore was like God to me.. emoticon
