Purple fans should petition the release of "Abandon" on vinyl
As far as I know the record companies that releases "Abandon" have no interest in releasing it in vinyl format, but I hope I'm wrong.
"Abandon" was released by CMC International in the USA and EMI in Europe in 1998 in CD format.
It's about time to have a good ol' vinyl.
Also "Bananas" deserves a reissue on vinyl format.

I'd probably spring for Live at the Olympia '96 on vinyl.

Yes!
Checking Music on Vinyl website once every week to look for this.
Should release Things I Never Said as a 7 inch to make the studio recordings on vinyl complete (other than Abandon I think this is the only song not on vinyl)
See that Glenn Hughes has most of his discography reissued shortly...
If they release Strangers in Us All I will be happy twice

Re: Purple fans should petition the release of "Abandon" on vinyl
Not sure I would spring for that, as much as I like both albums. But really, why would the record company do this? I don't think either of those albums sold iin enough quantity for the record company to think they would make any money doing this. There is an expense for them, they want to make a profit on it, how many copies do you think they would sell? They are doing the accounting and I don't think the numbers add up for them.

Re: Purple fans should petition the release of "Abandon" on vinyl
Thank you very much Rick for your encouraging words! Thank you very much for raising our hope. It really lifted my spirit! 🙁😩😟
Anyway, here are the worldwide sales of some Purple albums.
PS - 4,000,000
HOBL - 2,200,000
S&M - 800,000
TBRO - 700,000
Purpendicular - 500,000
Abandon - 300,000
Bananas - 200,000
ROTD - 200,000
They keep on releasing "Last Concert in Japan", this time it's in colored-vinyl, I guess lots of Purple fans did really like it. 🤑

Re:
I don't particularly like those albums, nor am I interested in vinyl, so I would pass; but given that a lot of the times these re-issues are only a few thousand copies, I don't think it would be too difficult to sell them; the question is rather: why bother? for the exact same reason.
