Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff. Skipping London (unless the rest are so good I do something stupid and try to get a ticket at the last minute emoticon ).

Good for you David. I thought last nights concert in Oslo was way over expectations!
My friend, who had never seen or even heard Purple had this silly grin on his face all through.

He loved it.

Re: UK Tour - who's going?

The new songs from I are excellent, 4 of them.
Time, All I got, The Surprising and Birds.

Together with Uncommon Man they sounded great.

They got almost same feed back from the crowd as the oldies.

Sold out.

This kind of thing seems to happen a lot - it's not just bots who buy up the tickets for resale I don't think. What I expect happens is that the original seller puts some seats on its sister reseller sites at inflated prices. Then if it doesn't manage to sell these 'scarce' tickets it brings them back onto general sale near the time of the gig. For Rainbow at the O2 it meant a very funny distribution of the crowd.

I don't think that will happen this time as they've sold o2 blocks for this concert which were blanked off in 2011 and 2015

Also going to the 02 with my brother-in-law. I've got better seats than 2015. I just hope that the atmosphere is way better than in 2015 (see my "Quick & Dirty" review at the time), especially as it is probably the last time we'll see them...

P.S. if you fancy a place with good ales and cuisine, take a 10 minute walk away from the 02 arena past the cable cars that cross The Thames to The Pilot. Great gastro pub and I recommend that you book.

Watching footage from the south american leg and it's good to see they play to massive crowds.

And crowds that are very supportive and participating!
Big Ian could literally go and hide under the piano like in the old days.
The crowds sing for him anyway.
