Walter Becker RIP

Died today at 67 years old. Steely Dan are quite possibly my favorite American group, and this without a doubt finishes them.

Nope, Fagen says its going to continue because that's what Walter would've wanted; he's going to keep it going until he can't.

That said, I'm a HUGE SD [sign in to see URL] songwriting and musicianship. Great, witty lyrics.

RIP, Walter.

Yeah, I read that a little while after I started this thread. Totally his right, but it doesn't really set well with me. It's somewhat like Mick keeping the Stones together if something happened to Keith.

Yeah, I definitely get that, but at the same time if it was Walter's wish I can see Donald feeling compelled to follow through with it. They just finished a 6 week tour without him, having Larry Carlton fill in (as well as a couple others) with Jon Herrington taking on a more "Walter" role.

All that said, I don't see anymore SD albums in the future, but I don't see any harm in touring.
