Rainbow will tour America and Europe in 2017!
Candice Night just announced in a Radio Interview that Rainbow will Do a second round of dates in June in America on the East Coast, and After that a couple of more dates overseas in Europe. (08:20) in the interview.

BTW Highway Star was also played from Loreley. Ritchie overdubbed the fast Arpeggio Part AT the end of the solo. Sounds fantastic now!

It might sound fantastic to you, but now it's just totally FAKE. That is really very poor. They can't even be honest about what they actually did, that's somewhat pathetic really.
Frankly, it's disappointing and then casts doubt on the whole product.
Simply put it's NOT what he played on the night at that gig. That makes it a FAKE.
Yes of course you'll say "oh but its Ritchie playing" and no doubt it will be, but it's FAKE, it's NOT what he played at that gig you are watching on the video. You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd.
This is why the YT clips are actually the only honest representation of what these musicians actually played and exactly how they played it. Once again ... the YT clips don't convey the atmosphere, and perhaps not the full sound, BUT they definitely show EXACTLY what they played, mistakes and all, they are real. I'd take that any day over a FAKE DVD which got "fixed" after the event.
IF this is true about the DVD being fixed I think it's beyond disgusting, considering everyone already knows what a royal c*nt Blackmore actually made of playing it live, as evidenced by many many YT clips.
I think the fact that this DvD has been doctored before they release it, tells everyone exactly what this was all about. It was billed as "Nostalgia and for the fans", total bollocks, this is just about money.
Disgusting, barely covers it.

Dear BagShotBullets, these 15 seconds of Ritchie playing Arpeggios are the only thing that was restored or overdubbedon the DVD and I see no reason why not to do it. Everything else was left like it was played that night.
You are like ptr and searching for needles and pins to get the hate-machine rolling towards RB. Find some happiness in your life, dude and please don't buy this release if it disturbs you so much.

Once again, this was not about "nostalgia for the fans", it was about testing the market in the lowest cost possible way to determine if there was a viable "product" still there to sell and exploit. The answer was of course Yes there is a product that people will buy, even if it's not especially good.
To rehearse for 5 days and play in a few bars ahead of playing to crowds of 15,000+ at each of 3 huge venues, shows you how much Blackmore "cares" about the fans!! He Don't give a !@#$, it seems. His fans are complete mugs, and he knows this. He's proven for years that he can present any load of under rehearsed, untalented musicians and his "fans" will just lap it up wholesale, he can even persuade them it's actually really great. He's done this in BN since, forever. Now he himself plays poorly, by his standards, and still his "fans" think it's amazing. He knows the majority of his fan base are mugs for his brand.
Candice, doubtless revealed this "five day" rehearsal, on this basis that "ooh isn't it great how clever we are, we only rehearsed for 5 days because we are so amazing and our fans will like it anyway, even if we just went on stage and sh1t on them, they'd just lap it up as usual" This time out they made some mistakes that even your average pub band would be ashamed of. Not a worry for Blackmore and Co, after all you lot( their fans! ) paid handsomely for what you wanted to see "Ritchie's return to rock" and so he correctly felt he had your mandate to sh1t on you all again. Excellent stuff.
If the DVD has been fixed in the studio, as doubtless it will be, then he will have coned more cash out of you lot yet again!

HigwayFrog, I think you miss the point entirely. You might imagine that at 71/72 Blackmore could for once be honest about what he played. Sure he messed up but honestly who cares, that's reality, he played it badly on the night. So fixing it sometime later in the studio is just basically dishonest. Sure he could have played it better but the fact is he didn't. On several occasion the Singer, who was good, could have come-in at the right time and could have sung better, but reality is he didn't, so do they plan to cut the footage to make that happen, so hey can overdub all the mistake. That HWF is the entire point. The fact you see it as something else, just shows how the "Blackmore Effect" has got hold of you. As soon as you alter what actually happened at that gig, the footage is essentially worthless as a "memory in rock" or an artistic work, it's not a true memory, it's not truly what they played, it's a doctored and consequently FAKE misrepresentation of that gig.
Sure you'll say "oh but all LIVE DVDs are touched up and over-dubbed in the studio" and I'm sure very many are. That is frankly a sad reflection of the bands who feel the need to do it and the audiences who buy them.
In this day and age with YouTube everything is filmed for real as it happens, you'd have to be desperate to think it's a good move to alter the reality after the event.
From comments I've read vast numbers of people really enjoyed the gigs, aslo from comments about the dvd clips that have appeared I know a lot of people erecognise these shows for what they were and are not saying kind things about it at all.
I know I really enjoyed the YT clips, complete with mistakes and all. Who cares about a few mistakes, it's irrelevant, so why now hide them? Its p1ss poor on Blackmore's part to do that. That is why I find it somewhat disappointing that they now feel the need to cover up these mistakes. It's beyond dumb, as it's all out there for real already. Yes the DVD sound quality will be better than the YT clips, but now, IF what you say is correct, then we know the DVD content is actually NOT what he played at the gigs.
Incidentally how do you know for sure this DVD has been doctored ?
